When to Visit

Year-round, with spring (March through May) for waterfall viewing and mountain wildflowers. Fall brings reliable color in the Blue Ridge Escarpment. Summer is hot and humid on the coastal plain but pleasant in the Blue Ridge at 3,000 ft.
